Though the name Great Frontier Bull Riding is new to the Minnesota arena of bull riding, the company has already had a winning start! Jennifer Kattevold is from Maine so the logical step with the new company was to bring the professional sport of bull riding to the area. Jenn spent 2004 promoting and marketing G.F.B.R. to Maine State Fairs. Since 2005, the company has hosted a four day bull riding event at the Oxford County Fair in Oxford, Maine. Great Frontier Bull Riding Company put on four solid nights of live bull riding action. With it came the opening ceremonies utilizing fire, smoke, and spot lights to introduce our professional cowboys and the bucking bulls. Some nights included local pageant winners who would carry the American Flag or sing the National Anthem. Local residents rode as "Celebrity Riders" and free - style bull fighting were part of the grand finale. Prior to each night's performance, the company presented "Wanna Be A Cowboy?" Meet n' Greet sessions. Attending spectators were able to learn about the cowboys, the riding gear, the born to buck program, and following could ask questions and meet the cowboys! After the performance, the company sold t-shirts and hosted autograph sessions - some lasting two hours! The attendance broke records every night! Oxford County Fair was awarded "Most Improved Fair 2005" with the enormous success of the bull riding event. The success of the bull riding event held 1700 miles away is evidence the Great Frontier Bull Riding Company will produce a professional and family oriented event sure to leave your crowd standing, your sponsors impressed, and your committee eager to sign on for next year!
